KICMA is a Professional Management Institute located at Neyyardam, Thiruvananthapuram governed by State Co-operative Union which is a Statutory Body established by State Government under the provisions of ‘Kerala Co-operative Societies Act 1969. KICMA is the first attempt on the part of the State Co-operative Union (SCU) to start a Management Institute in the co-operative sector for the benefit of students’ community.
KICMA is owned, managed and controlled by State Co-operative Union (SCU). For the smooth functioning of KICMA, powers are delegated to the Director (through KICMA Regulations issued by the Managing Committee) and administrative machinery is separately created in the institute under the guidance and control of the Director. An Advisory Committee has been constituted for KICMA with well known academicians, industrialists, top level executives of public sector undertakings, to advise the State Co-operative Union on policies and programmes to be adopted for the better functioning of the Institute. The Chairman of the State Co-operative Union is also the Chairman of the advisory committee.
